12 months of design, manufacturing and fine-tuning. And then comes the moment when everything falls into place: the line is delivered and installed at the customer’s facility. Here’s a look back at a landmark project that perfectly captures what Dimeco does best: turning complex technical challenges into tailor-made industrial solutions.
Nedcon Sales s.r.o. is a well-established name in industrial storage and logistics. Based in the Czech Republic, the group designs and manufactures storage solutions for the most demanding industrial and logistics environments. Their products incorporate complex metal components, produced in high volumes to exacting standards of precision and quality.
To meet its production goals, Nedcon needed a flexible line capable of handling a wide variety of parts, including deep-drawn components, processed from large-diameter coils. The line also had to integrate seamlessly into the existing production process, with multiple operating modes depending on the type of part being produced.
A demanding brief, calling for sharp technical expertise and the ability to design a fully custom solution from the ground up.
Faced with such specific technical requirements, Nedcon turned to Dimeco. Our track record as a French manufacturer of custom flexible production lines, our expertise in coil processing and our ability to engineer complex equipment were all decisive factors. A one-of-a-kind project called for a partner who could rise to the challenge.
The line delivered to Nedcon processes coils up to 2,000 mm in diameter: an impressive format that places significant mechanical and technical demands on the equipment. It is designed to produce a wide range of different parts, across varying dimensions and shapes, without requiring additional tooling investment for each new reference.
This versatility is at the heart of the DIMECO flexible line philosophy: one line, endless possibilities.
One of the defining features of this project was the nature of the parts being produced. The line manufactures deep-drawn components, which require highly specialized tooling. Our engineers developed a custom punching module to meet these demands, ensuring the dimensional accuracy and surface quality the customer required.
This ability to adapt is what sets Dimeco apart from a standard equipment supplier.
The end of the line was specifically engineered to feed directly into the next stage of the production process. Multiple operating modes were developed to accommodate different part types, giving Nedcon maximum flexibility in how it organizes production. Every detail was thought through to make life easier for operators and keep production flowing smoothly.
From initial design to final commissioning, the entire project was carried out in our workshops in Pirey, France. Our engineering, manufacturing and commissioning teams worked hand in hand for 18 months to deliver a line that met every one of Nedcon’s expectations.
Those 18 months also meant 18 months of regular exchanges with the customer, ongoing technical adjustments and continuous refinement: a rigorous process that ensures the line performs from day one.
This project is, above all, a collective achievement. Our engineers, technicians, assembly fitters, wirers and commissioning specialists all played their part. We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to our partner Intech for their commitment throughout the project, and to Nedcon for placing their trust in Dimeco.
There’s something special about every delivery. The pride of handing over a solution designed and built specifically for one customer and one unique project. The pride of seeing a Dimeco line come to life on a factory floor, on the other side of Europe.
The Nedcon project is a perfect example of what we stand for: no matter how complex the brief or how demanding the technical challenges, Dimeco delivers.
