Our story
From a workshop in Franche-Comté to a global leader
1957
SARL A. Chanard et Cie founded in Besançon, with a vision to grow the machine tool market.
1965
Dimeco SA is born (La DIffusion MEcanique COmtoise), planting the seed of a name that would go on to become a global reference.
1969
Dimeco exhibits for the first time at EMO Paris, opening its doors to the world.
1973
The Pirey plant (8,000 m²) opens its doors, historic home of Dimeco manufacturing.
1976
Dimeco Alipresse is founded, focused on press feeding lines. This is where the core business truly takes shape.
1992
Rotobloc is born, bringing coil and press tool handling into Dimeco's growing range.
2007
50th birthday celebration at Micropolis: half a century of innovation in service of the industry.
2009
Christine Jeanney becomes President of Dimeco: new generation, same passion.
2016
Rotobloc and Dimeco Alipresse merge, combining strengths to accelerate growth.
2023
Dimeco wins the Ailes de Cristal award from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté's economic community, a well-earned nod to the company's know-how and results.
2025
Dimeco joins BPIFrance's "Solutions Industrie du Futur" accelerator, opening a new chapter of growth.

Responsible industry, rooted in its local community
Since 2009, we’ve been working to cut our energy footprint. Solar panels now cover the roof of our French site, generating over 110,000 kWh a year. We work on a daily basis to limit our environmental impact.
